Kerry Martin and Steve Grant are the founders of the Rixen Cable Park and over the past 12 months have been battling every step of the way to get council approval to build the park.
Phase one involves building a temporary cable park (Little Bro) in the Onehunga Basin. To get council approval the first step was to show enough public support for the venture to convince local councils the venture would work and could work safely. Jamie McKenzie of PURE advised Rixen NZ as to the most effective ways to gain momentum on social media channels and with video content to get the concept out to the public.
Now phase one has been granted and the 'Little Bro' cable is in the build process. The next step is phase two. The full Cable. PURE is in the pre-production phase in developing a documentary about the rise of cable parks globally and the Rixen NZ story.
