Adventures, War and Evil in little old New Zealand

The MTV series the Shannara Chronicles has now hit own screens and is proving to be a hit. The adaption of author Terry Brooks’ post-apocalyptic world was filmed last year in New Zealand and Viacom and MTV contracted PURE to create the behind the scenes videos to promote and market the show to a global audience.

Over 6 weeks was spent filming 12-16 hr days following the onset action and catching up with one on one interviews with the lead actors including; John Rhys-Davies, Manu Bennett, Austin Butler, James Remar, James Remar, Austin Jakubenko to name a few.

“One of the things that ’The Shannara Chronicles’ takes advantage of is the slightly alien landscape of New Zealand, and that helps really create the other-worldliness that you need for fantasy worlds,” John Rhys-Davies — who portrays King Eventine.
